To help graduating students transition smoothly into the workplace and better connect industry needs with university talent, National United University (NUU) held its 2026 Campus Career Fair on the morning of April 1 at the university’s Second (Bajia) Campus.

The event brought together distinguished guests from government, industry, and academia, including representatives from the Taoyuan–Hsinchu–Miaoli Regional Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, the Miaoli County Government, Micron Taiwan, the Miaoli County Industrial Association, and the NUU Distinguished Alumni Association. Together, they witnessed NUU’s continued efforts and achievements in supporting students’ career development and employment.

This year’s career fair was one of the university’s largest, attracting 90 companies and offering approximately 3,000 job opportunities across a wide range of industries, including technology manufacturing, electronics and information technology, retail and services, and finance.

Participating employers included major semiconductor and electronics companies such as Micron Taiwan, Wistron, Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, Siliconware Precision Industries, Macronix International, Unimicron Technology, and Taiwan PCB Techvest. Other well-known companies and brands, including Hi-Lai Foods, FILA, Far Eastern SOGO, Yuanta Futures, Taomiao Automobile, Formosa Optical, and Cathay Life Insurance, also set up recruitment booths at the event.

Many employers provided on-site career consultations and immediate interview opportunities, reflecting the strong demand for and recognition of NUU graduates in the employment market.

The opening ceremony was hosted by NUU President Ti-Kuang Hou, who joined representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Miaoli County Government in officially launching the event, symbolizing the beginning of a new career journey for NUU students. Balloons representing hope and best wishes were also released during the ceremony, expressing the university’s hopes that its graduates will successfully move toward their ideal careers.

A representative from Micron Taiwan highlighted the company’s extensive opportunities for employees to connect with the global technology industry. For this year’s career fair, Micron brought more than ten managers and engineers to its recruitment booth, giving students the opportunity to learn directly about working in the technology sector.

Students were encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to communicate face-to-face with industry professionals, gain a clearer understanding of different career paths, and explore future employment possibilities.

In addition to corporate recruitment booths, NUU also integrated government and professional resources by establishing 10 career service stations at the event. These services included employment consultation, résumé reviews, career guidance, and military recruitment information, helping students gain a better understanding of current industry trends and employment opportunities.

President Hou encouraged students to actively engage with employers and make full use of their professional knowledge and language skills to pursue interview opportunities. By gaining an early understanding of industry expectations, students can better prepare themselves for the workplace, find positions that match their abilities and interests, and work toward the goal of “graduating with a job.”

Through the 2026 Campus Career Fair, National United University continues to strengthen its partnerships with industry and create a seamless bridge between education and employment. The event demonstrates NUU’s commitment to cultivating highly qualified professionals, enhancing students’ career competitiveness, and preparing them to succeed in an increasingly global workforce.
