National United University (NUU) continues to expand its international partnerships and commitment to global talent development. On July 31, NUU hosted the 2026 KMUTT Summer Internship Project Presentation at its Bajia Campus, where eight students from Thailand’s King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) presented the outcomes of their two-month internship program.

Through projects focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and information systems, the students demonstrated both strong technical capabilities and the value of cross-border learning. The program also marked another important step in strengthening cooperation between NUU and KMUTT in student mobility, academic exchange, and research collaboration.

The KMUTT delegation was led by President Suvit Saetia and included Vice President for Internationalisation Chawin Chantharasenawong, Assistant to the President for Internationalisation Hong-ming Ku, and other faculty members, with seven representatives participating in the visit.

The delegation was welcomed by NUU President Di-Kuang Hou, together with faculty members and administrators from the International and Cross-Strait Affairs Division of the Office of Research and Development, the Department of Safety, Health and Environmental Engineering, and the Office of Information Technology. The participation of senior representatives from both universities reflected their shared commitment to expanding long-term cooperation.

The event opened with remarks from President Hou and President Saetia. President Hou emphasized that NUU has long placed international engagement and global talent development among its key priorities. By promoting student exchanges, international internships, collaborative research, and university-industry partnerships, NUU hopes to further deepen its relationship with KMUTT and create more opportunities for students from both institutions.

During the ceremony, the two presidents exchanged commemorative gifts, while certificates were presented to the eight KMUTT students who successfully completed the summer internship program, marking the conclusion of a rewarding two-month learning experience at NUU.

Throughout their internship, the KMUTT students took part in project-based research and hands-on learning under the guidance of NUU faculty and staff. Their final presentations were delivered in English, with teams presenting projects related to AI applications, data analysis, and information systems development.

From needs assessment and system design to implementation and final demonstration, the students showcased their abilities in technical development, teamwork, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication. The experience also enabled them to apply academic knowledge in practical settings while gaining valuable international exposure.

The visit also featured an introduction to NUU’s International Industrial Talents Education Special Program, highlighting the University’s efforts in international student recruitment, talent development, and industry-academia collaboration.

Representatives from both universities also exchanged views on potential areas for future cooperation, including student exchange programs, dual-degree opportunities, international internships, and joint research. The discussions opened new possibilities for expanding academic and educational collaboration between NUU and KMUTT.

NUU noted that the internship presentation not only highlighted the achievements of the participating Thai students, but also demonstrated the growing strength of the partnership between the two universities.

Looking ahead, NUU will continue to work closely with KMUTT and other international partners to expand global learning opportunities, promote cross-border internships and academic collaboration, and create an internationally connected learning environment that equips students with both professional expertise and a global perspective.
